DIversity - Adaptation - DEvelopment of plants

Several teams of the UMR are interested in plants adaptation to environmental constraints. Depending on the area of research, the study of adaptation involves different methodologies. Thus, for geneticists and evolutionists, studies will rely on the analysis of genetic diversity and comparative genomics, while for physiologists they will study the mechanisms involved in the presence of environmental constraints. Moreover, within the UMR, different scales of study are approached, for example at the temporal level (response to stress vs acclimation) or at the population level (individual or organ vs. population - or species-). To compare the approaches, the methodologies and the tools developed create a dynamics between teams aiming to develop common tools and joint multidisciplinary actions.
